I would like
everyone who visits this page to know that I am
nothing in the
light of God's glorious grace, His awesome power, His generous
forgiveness and His precious love, and I intend to keep it that way.

Who
the heck is Ryan Graves? Ryan is a Seattle-area Christian
rock singer. Formerly "J.R." Graves, he spent the better part of
1997 through 2001 touring the Seattle-area, performing, and presenting his debut
CD "Servant", which was composed of 10 original songs and 1
cover tune. His music was described as eclectic, ranging from Michael Jackson to
Justin Timberlake, from Boyz II Men to Mariah
Carey, and from Newsboys to Eric Champion. It was peppy, fun, and sometimes
campy pop & soul, the songs of which
were wrapped in Biblical verses, with strong messages from the
Word. Check out his old
Demo Pack,
or check out the
Collection CD (available for purchase), a special multimedia
mp3-CD encompassing 10 years in Christian rock music.
J.R. performed
"Servant" material and
spoke at roughly 100 Seattle-area venues per year, including just some of the
following:
Antioch Bible Church, Bellevue Christian School, Camp Berachah,
Cascade Christian School, Cedar Park Christian Church, Central
Christian Church, Club Cristo, Coal Creek Chapel, Crista Camps,
Dayspring Fellowship in Oregon, Eastside Christian Church, Echo
Glen, Edmonds Church of God, Emmanuel Baptist Church, Evergreen
Baptist Church, Evergreen Christian Fellowship, Hopefest
Northwest Festival, Kent Christian Center, King’s Jr & Sr High
School, Lake Sawyer Christian Church, Lake Tapps Christian
Church, Mill Creek Foursquare, Mt. Calvary Christian Church,
Monroe Community Chapel, Neighborhood Christian Church, New
Horizon Christian Church, Northshore Christian Church, Northwest
College, Overlake Christian Church, Puget Sound Christian
College, River of Life Fellowship, Seattle Christian Schools,
Snohomish County Christian School, Valley Christian School,
Youth Dynamics, and more. He was featured in Cedar Park
Christian Church's Artist Spotlight Contest and appeared several
times on Seattle's Spirit 105.3 FM's airplay as well as an interview at
another Christian radio station in Portland.

J.R. dropped out
of the scene in 2000 after undergoing some personal trials that
required some heavy introspection and soul-searching.
Well, "J.R." is back, older and perhaps wiser now. He
now goes by Ryan Graves, with a brand new "male Christian Alanis Morissette"
rock sound, and 15 great songs that
speak about living life to the fullest, identifying with pain
and overcoming it, and recognizing that life is a journey to be
learned from.
His songs are passion-filled and brimming with pathos. While it is not Ryan's intent to pursue any sort of ministry, it
is his intent to share through song the journey he walked down,
the painful experiences of isolation, loneliness, sadness, and
the pervasive and persistent hope that carried him through: forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Rather than
languishing in and remaining captive to sadness and frustration, Ryan has chosen to embrace captivity to
Christ, to continually seek freedom from the webs of this world
that so easily entangle, and to run with perseverance the race
marked out for him. He has chosen to celebrate the victory
and accomplishment that comes with moving through difficulties
and repercussions, in the
power of Jesus Christ. Ryan, and those surrounding him in this
CD and concert pursuit, believe in the redemptive and
restorative power of a second-chance-giving God, and intend
nothing more than to celebrate this journey through song.
It is our hope that you may relate to the lyrics in these songs,
draw power from them, claim victory over our enemy the devil,
and realize that the Holy Spirit empowers and enables us well
more than we could ever imagine. GLORY TO GOD.
Ryan is constantly reminded of Hebrews 6:10 ("God is not unjust; he will
not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped
his people and continue to help them"), Malachi 4:2 ("But for you who
revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its
wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the
stall"), Joel 2:25 ("I will repay you for the years the locusts have
eaten") and 1 Corinthians 6:11 ("And that is what some of you were.
But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name
of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.") AMEN! God loves us with an everlasting love, despite ourselves,
and He is the Great Liberator. PRAISE HIS NAME FOREVER.
